Share via Email Gossip — arguably a favorite “sport” in our society — ranks right up there with football and basketball for things we like to talk about. And, even better, it’s never out of season. One of the most common gossip topics in the Army concerns the perception of proper and improper relationships. Soldiers and leaders often discuss terms such as fraternization, inappropriate relationships and prohibited relationships interchangeably; causing plenty of confusion. The Army has recently released an update to Army Regulation , Army Command Policy, which better defines these issues for leaders and Soldiers. The changes took effect on Nov. AR , paragraph , defines relationships between Soldiers of different ranks and seeks to clarify proper personal and professional relationships within the Army.
Enlisted Dating Officer
Marriage between Officer and Enlisted The custom of the Service accepts officer and enlisted marriages which occur before the officer receives a commission. Lawful marriage between an officer and enlisted service member does not create a presumption of misconduct or fraternization. However, misconduct, including fraternization, is neither excused nor mitigated by subsequent marriage. Early Resolution Personnel finding themselves involved in or contemplating unacceptable relationships should report the situation and seek early resolution from their supervisor, commanding officer, officer in charge, command enlisted advisor, or Coast Guard chaplain.

Issue of October 14, Readme: My latest book project, My Favorite Word , is picking up steam and entries are arriving faster than I can post them i. Please take a moment to contribute your own, and I promise it will be posted as soon as if my assistant, Ms Edith Freedle, ever returns from lunch. There has been much speculation in the media lately about a mysterious rectangular object apparently secreted under President Bush’s jacket during the recent debates, with theories about what it might be ranging from your standard-issue Carlyle Group politician-control gizmo to a misplaced shoehorn.
Thanks to my lifelong friendship with Karl Rove I removed a thorn from his hoof back in graduate school , I can now reveal that the object in question was actually a pre-publication copy of my new book, From Altoids to Zima: The Surprising Stories Behind Famous Brand Names , the unwieldy subtitle of which will, I trust, sufficiently explain its contents. Unfortunately, the opportune moment to flog my book during the debates apparently never arrived, but Karl says he is expediting my refund, so no harm, no foul.
Can an enlisted date an officer if they are not in the same unit
Can Marine officers become enlisted? That’s a great question! I have never seen it done. I don’t think the Corps brass would look on that very kindly after being commissioned. Still, now I’m curious as to whether th…at was ever done.

Branch scholarships he is in charge of the scholarship program for RS San Francisco. Sorry for putting Pool ee as my status but I figured it’s closest to what I really am though I suppose technically I’m a nasty civilian for the next couple weeks. I head out for Washington, D. Background info aside, I had a couple questions I wanted to ask about being a Midshipman don’t really want to ask my superiors in D.
I will wear the EGA on my uniform, have dress blues, etc I am just asking if I earn the title when I swear in as a Midshipman, or if I have to wait until I get my butter bars pinned after my senior year of college to be able to call myself a Marine. This next question is a touchy one, and I don’t want anyone to get the wrong impression. I’m asking this for no purpose other than to be knowledgeable and squared away, not because I’m some power hungry “Sobel” Band of Brothers.
I just want to make sure I am equipped with the proper info so I can make the best impression possible on my behalf, and on behalf of the Corps. Where, exactly, within the rank structure does a Midshipman stand? Obviously I’m subordinate to all officers, but where does my rank stand next to Enlisted personnel?

Dating a service member is not all fun and games; it takes a lot of work and patience, but if you are interested in the person and not just the uniform, then he is definitely worth the pursuit.
My son has been married twice to other NCO’s of the same rank it didn’t work out at all. I really think it comes down to how the situation came about and there perspective on leadership and where they are in there career’s. Do I think a LTC should date a spec 4 or should a CPT date a spec 4 definitely not I have seen that two and its a disaster even if there in different commands.
They both had the same take and similar leadership respect and style that seem to work fine. Over all I think its a good rule because I have seen it first hand and just shook my head. I do think there are exceptions to that rule. I know the Army does not do things on a case by case basis nor should they. Its a slippery slope for sure. Im pretty sure the answer should be NO.
Oaths of Enlistment and Oaths of Office The wordings of the current oath of enlistment and oath for commissioned officers are as follows: So help me God. The Marines soon unofficially adopted the English Bulldog as their mascot. In a formal ceremony on 14 October , BGen.
Back in those times, dating used to be one serious affair. You can even find like hundreds of apps through which you can date anyone you like. Not even these apps but social media is also a fun way to date someone and know them better. Still, in this process we really need some uncanny dating game questions to know the guy or the girl better. This is basically a kind of game through which you just need to find out that whether this guy or girl is good enough for you to date or not. Net immigration up 45pc 26 May To help cope with the growing diversity of their pupils, schools have enlisted interpreters to help at parents evenings and bi-lingual teaching assistants for reception classes. The figure, revealed in Department for Education figures, comes amid concerns that immigration is having a significant impact on public services.
The concerns have been heightened after restrictions on Bulgarian and Romanian migrants were lifted in January. According to official estimates the number of pupils is to grow by a million over the next decade and reach the highest levels in more than 40 years. By , the pupil population in England will exceed eight million for the first time since the early s, fuelled by a combination of higher birth rates and an influx of migrants in some areas.
However Douglas Carswell, a back-bench Tory MP, said that Britain’s needs to have a “national debate” about the impact of immigration on social cohesion. We can’t hold it against an individual wanting to come to this country on behalf of their family, but are we doing all we can to integrate and assimilate?

Legal Question in Military Law in Arizona Yet another officer enlisted marriage question What could happen if an Army officer and enlisted decide they want to marry? If there has been a prior relationship that was found out and an investigation held, could they be charged again if they decided to marry? If they were not found to be fraternizing before the fact, what would happen after they got married?
And does the military require its members to register if they marry or can that be maintained as confidential personal information? Yet another officer enlisted marriage question No service member can be prevented from marrying. There was a time when the service would use the marriage as proof that unlawful fraternization had occurred beforehand, but it is rare today. The best way to discourage that would be to be discreet.
However, althought there is no requirement to “register,” a change in your marital status must be reported so that your records are accurate. You keep a marriage confidential at your own risk. You could be subjected to disciplinary action for failing to report your marriage if it is ever discovered. Some service members choose to have one member leave active duty, or go into the reserves, to moot the issue.
Check your service’s regulations or inquire at the base legal assistance office for more information.
